Purpose

  • Be a leading force in revitalizing Coatesville

  • To dismantle the cradle to prison pipeline

  • To build resilience among the youth in order to break the cycle of social dysfunction due to habitual trauma that is rooted in poverty

  • To focus on youth and to build connections with seniors, teenagers and young mothers and their children who live in "at risk" environments.

  • To help low income parents overcome feelings of diminished self-esteem, depression, and a sense of powerlessness and the inability to cope

  • To offer mindfulness-based programs that utilize yoga and the expressive arts to help build strong, secure, intergenerational relationships, which help stabilize children's behavior and provide the core guidance needed to build lifelong social skills

  • To collaborate with other arts and non-arts organizations, such as schools, libraries, museums, facilities serving court involved youth, shelters, senior centers and community centers.
