Arts Holding Hands and Hearts (AHHAH) is excited to announce the next round of PULL (Pop-Up Lending Library) Stations were installed on Friday, October 6th, 2017, bringing the total count of 29 in Coatesville.
The first installation was in front of the Benner Building, 545 East Lincoln Highway. This station has been housed at the Art Partners Studio inside of the Benner Building for the summer. Thanks to Mary Galligan, the new Executive Director of Art Partners Studio, for her support.
The second installed is located at Hayti Park, next to the Valley Township Municipal Building, 890 West Lincoln Highway. This station has been housed at the Salvation Army, 669 Lincoln Highway. Thanks to Lieutenant David Soria and The Salvation Army for watching over the station and bringing awareness to the children and families that visit there.
The third station installed was in front of the Sandy Hill Preschool, 420 S Sandy Hill Road. This PULL Station has been housed inside of the Preschool, so the parents could fill it with books, and share it with the children during this school year. Thank you to the teachers and parents for sharing the joy of reading with your children.
Last was installed at Kennedy Park, Youngsburg Road, Coatesville. Special thanks to Jennifer Kasitz, a local artist, mother, and community childhood literacy advocate, for bringing the children’s design ideas to life on the stations, and housing it for the summer.
Thank you to Coatesville Rotary for donating the money to build the stations, and to Bob Beggs from GoodWorks, who obtained all of the materials, led the two building workshops, and is installing them. Also, thank you to all the children and families who helped to build, prime, and paint the stations, making them a reality.
“We’re all responsible for every single child, and giving every child the tools and the opportunities they need to succeed,” said Jan Michener, executive director of AHHAH.
